| The
Jaguar D-Type went through numerous changes as it evolved over
the years. Various body styles developed as the regulations
changed and as competition increased. All the factory team cars
were built with long noses, while the "production"
versions were made with short noses. Windscreens varied from
a small aero screen in front of the driver to full wrap-around
units to comply with later regulations. To further confuse matters,
both the Jaguar factory and private owners felt free to mix
and match the various styles over the years. |
|
|
|
The result
is a somewhat bewildering range of details, making it virtually
impossible to pinpoint the one "definitive" D-Type
style.

the long nose and the short nose versions as listed below. However,
we can reproduce any specific car desired by the customer, including
the famous "Ecurie Ecosse" and "Briggs Cunningham"
styles.

Racing Blue, or any personal colour favoured by the owner. Racing
rondels (white circles) are available as options, as are nose
