| The
Ferrari California Spyder was arguably one of the prettiest
of all road going Ferraris. Looking very similar to the steel-bodied
Pinin Farina Cabriolet, the Cal Spyder featured an aluminium
body built by Scaglietti. They were designed for road or track
use and were advertised by Ferrari at the time as “the
road car you can race”. |

| Two
versions of this beautiful car were seen. The SWB (short wheelbase)
and the LWB (long wheelbase). Production started in 1957 and
continued in various forms until 1963. All California Spyders
were based on the appropriate Berlinettas of the period. |
